In a classic Seinfeld episode, George Costanza tells Jerry and Elaine, “Every decision I have ever made in my entire life has been wrong. Every instinct I have in every aspect of life—it’s all been wrong.” After a discussion about whether chicken salad or salmon salad is the true opposite of tuna salad, Jerry advises George to do the opposite of what his instinct is telling him. Jerry says, “If every instinct you have is wrong, then the opposite would have to be right.” George concludes, “I will do the opposite.” The result is a date with a beautiful woman and a job with the New York Yankees.
