Over the past several weeks, I have watched Adam Sandler’s new special on Netflix at least 5 times. It may be 1 or 2 more, but 5 is the minimum. When I think of my childhood entertainment, I think of one person ahead of all the others. Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, The Waterboy, The Wedding Singer. The list goes on and on. While his movies in the last few years haven’t been up to the critics standards, he is a legend. He takes care of all his friends and keeps making movies so they can all hang out and cash-in.
His new special is a mix of stand-up comedy and hilarious songs like only Sandler can do. Some of the songs are genuine bangers that I have been humming to myself regularly.
But after turning it on once again after having a cocktail or two, it got me thinking how many times is too many. Personally, I can watch Friends, The Office, Impractical Jokers, or The Sopranos on repeat and never get bored of it. If I had to list how many times I’ve seen each, it would be too embarrassing. Friends alone is in the hundreds. I mean I have seen each episode at least 100 times. That’s 10 seasons, 24 episodes each, I’ll let you do the math.
